Issue 209 – On Sale Now!

While we're not really ones for blowing
our own trumpets, we are rather proud
of the May issue of Cross Stitch Collection.
Not only is it beautiful, and of course, a
very good read, but it also has a real sense
of celebration about it. So, we figured that
the perfect way to celebrate the new issue
would be to bring you…

…three things we love about issue 209!

1) Lesley Teare

We could practically dedicate this issue the wonderful cross stitch designer, Lesley Teare. First of all, her beautiful rose bouquet design has been used on our cover, then we've used her modern commemorative Diamond Jubilee cushion for our Giant Foldout Chart, and then lastly, we've got a fabulous four-page interview with the lady herself. So, if you like Lesley's designs, you're really going to love this issue.

2) Time to Celebrate

Not only do we have the Jubilee cushion at the heart of the magazine, but the whole issue has a real sense of celebration. There's Angela Poole's party bunting - ideal for any forthcoming celebrations - the final instalment of Deb Lester and Sandy Littlejohns' patriotic street party scene, plus an entire three-page news section dedicated to all things Jubilee. And, as if that wasn't enough, we've also got the Olympics covered with Becky Skuse's guide to the best Olympic cross stitch kits.

3) Summer is a'coming!

From bountiful vases of roses to Zweigart's floral summer tablecloth, this issue has a definite seasonal feel to it. It just makes us want to get outside to do a spot of gardening (when we're not stitching, of course!). Even the animals are at it! Maria Diaz's woodland characters are out en masse with their spades and watering cans for these cute and quirky card designs.
